The CITYSCAPES Photographic Series
The Cityscape Series is one of Ana’s first photographic projects that has persisted over the years, structuring and inspiring some of her photography, travels, projects, and self-expression. The concept and the term “cityscapes” was something she discovered and defined for herself initially during the time she spent in Chicago around 2001 as she was surrounded by historic but practically integrated architecture and discovering Richard Nickel.
Cityscapes is about digging into that historic infrastructure that needs to be forever intrinsic in inspiring and creative cities, uncovering urban remains, and illuminating tales of personalities from a past cast of characters. This continuous journey based in research, exploration, and critically important urban dialogues directs, guides, and informs the Cityscapes series. Additionally, the magical moments of complex composition or color found in cities that simply can’t be walked away from without capturing find their way into this collection. Join Ana on her journey to the best cities on the map, and gain a new perspective of the stories these cities have to tell. What’s lurking behind the facade that few take the time to notice?
