The Neptune Theatre:
A Case Study
This case study spotlights the significant story of the much-loved and still-relevant 100-year-old historic Neptune Theatre, located in the University District of Seattle. This vibrant and still-operational theatre has been owned by a single family throughout the years, leased by many, and has adapted to survive, despite the odds.
This article began as a class project for a Cultural Infrastructure and Facilities class at Seattle University, but quickly developed into a more robust offering, requiring further attention and research. The initial case study was updated, slightly expanded, and finally published and publicly released on ScholarWorks in 2020 as a part of Seattle University’s Arts Ecosystem Research Project.
Envisioning Internal Creative Placemaking Summary Project
This paper was one part of a three-part Summary Project submitted in partial fulfillment for Ana’s MFA in Arts Leadership. The other parts were a project component and a 15-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute Q&A. The new arts leadership framework of Internal Creative Placemaking initially explored here is being further developed and will be published soon.
[Re]Connect Seattle Arts Leadership Conference
In March, 2019 Ana presented the panel “Leading Through Podcasts and Creative Producing” at the [Re]Connect Seattle Arts Leadership Conference held on the Seattle University campus. The panel featured guest panelists Eula Scott Bynoe (Battle Tactics for Your Sexist Workplace podcast host), Erin B. Mee (podplay producer), Domonique L. Meeks (No Blueprint podcast host), Amanda Rae (theatrical producer), and JoJo Stiletto (producer).
More to come.
